Position: Commercial Billing Specialist

Purpose Statement:

The Commercial Billing Specialist will be responsible for billing and any related bookkeeping for commercial accounts and divisions of Hotwire.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monthly and as needed recurring and nonrecurring billing for commercial Hotwire accounts, including carrier access billing.
  • Responsible for associated allocation and required bookkeeping duties for all commercial billing activities
  • Resolves all topics and issues affecting commercial invoicing, including purchase order and sales order mismatch, requesting/escalating missing documentation required for revenue recognition & audit compliance
  • Daily invoice processing.
  • Responsible for billing accuracy and timeliness.
  • Research invoicing discrepancies.
  • Respond to collections team regarding customer inquiries related to invoices. Disputes/discrepancies/missing documentation.

 

Qualifications Including Educational, Work History or Certifications:

Education/Experience: 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business
  • 5+ year experience working in billing position
  • CABs – Carrier Access Billing or similar experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Must be detail oriented and execute with a high level of accuracy.

• Sense of urgency.

• Must be able to work with minimal direction and independently.

• Ability to manage multiple assignments projects and tasks concurrently.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically, intermediate to advanced Excel skills..

• Must have strong organizational and time management skills.

• Must have a strong work ethic and display personal and corporate integrity.

• Must be self-motivated and results-driven.

• Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
